Sexual Abuse

Trauma-informed support, at a pace you control

Whether the experience happened recently or years ago, its effects don't have to be something you manage alone. This work moves at your pace, with your safety and consent guiding every step.

You will never be asked to share more than you're ready to. Some clients want to process specific memories directly; others need space first just to feel safe and steady in their body. Both are valid starting points.

This is confidential, telehealth-based support for adult survivors, offered without judgment and without requiring you to have a particular narrative about what happened or how it should have affected you.

What this can look like

  • Memories or flashbacks that intrude without warning
  • Difficulty with trust, intimacy, or physical touch
  • Hypervigilance or feeling unsafe even in safe settings
  • Shame, self-blame, or confusion about your own responses at the time
  • Numbness or dissociation, especially under stress
  • Anxiety or panic with no clear immediate trigger

How therapy can help

  • EMDR is specifically designed to reduce the intensity of intrusive memories without requiring you to narrate every detail out loud.
  • Somatic therapy helps address how trauma is held in the body — hypervigilance, dissociation, tension.
  • IFS supports the different parts of you carrying shame, protection, or anger, so healing doesn't require choosing one feeling over another.

Every plan is built around you — modalities are chosen and adjusted together as therapy progresses, not applied as a fixed formula.
